The Lodge purchased the old Baptist church with 5 acres of land on Hill Road in May of 2005. After jumping in with both feet Ben Hur has become a friendly part of our community, they have a successful pancake breakfast each month, and work closely with the Police departments of both Richmond and Spring Grove and have developed the first youth community programs in the two villages.
Along with their constant and various charitable help and donations, Ben Hur has also worked with many different groups in the community. They have become a major volunteer force in planning and running the 2007 Rockin' Richmond Days. As they strive to better themselves, and continue to work with our charities, the members of Ben Hur Lodge 870 look forward to meeting more of the community and having what they hope to be a long and positive relationship. |
